Malaysia Visit by CityU HK Tech 300 We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! NerOcean is expanding our network to Southeast Asia, and we owe a big thanks to the CityU HK Tech 300 team for organizing an incredible 4-day event in Kuala Lumpur. During this event, we had the chance to attend a variety of engaging activities, including a lunch with the Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion (MGCIP), the Launching Ceremony for the HK Tech 300 SEA Competition, a Gala Dinner with our President, the Keynote lecture given by our President and visits to UMXcelerate (UMX, Universiti Malaya) and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). This is a great opportunity for us not only to extend our network in Malaysia, but also learn more about other teams from HK Tech 300 ecosystem. Day 1 – Meeting the Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion (MGCIP) We had the pleasure of meeting with the MGCIP, which is a chamber accelerating the business corporation between Malaysia and China. We enjoyed a traditional Fujian-style lunch with MGCIP members, who were friendly and enthusiastic, and provided us with valuable feedback. After the wonderful lunch provided by MGCIP, we returned to the ceremony venue for preparation. Thanks to CityU HK Tech 300 management and PR teams for the preparation of the backdrops for our booths. We all can’t wait to have a look on the backdrops prepared by HK Tech 300 PR teams. Day 2 – The Launching Ceremony for the HK Tech 300 SEA Competition and Gala Dinner with Prof. KUO Way We attended the Launching Ceremony for the HK Tech 300 SEA Competition, where we had the opportunity to meet CityU seniors, representatives of universities from different countries in Southeast Asia, and local media. As a member company of HK Tech 300, we’re honored to be a part of this fantastic community that has provided us with the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and companies. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the HK Tech 300 management team and PR team for the preparation of the booth and backdrop. Special thanks to Edwin, Dr. Laura LO’s Malaysian friend, for the professional photos during the 4-day event! In the evening, it is our pleasure to be invited to the Gala Dinner in honour of our President, Prof. KUO Way, at Times Higher Education Digital Universities Asia Forum. As a token of appreciation, we were given a book written by Prof. KUO Way. We were delighted to receive this gift, and it was an honor to obtain the signature of Prof. KUO Way. The book will serve as a valuable resource for our team, and we look forward to learning from Prof. KUO Way’s insights and experiences. Day 3 – Keynote lecture by President Prof. Kuo Way and visit to UMXcelerate. I was fortunate to listen to Prof. Kuo’s views on education and learn about the origin of HK Tech 300, which has become internationally renowned. As a member company of HK Tech 300, we’re excited to build a bridge between universities and the industry. Later that day, we visited UMXcelerate in Universiti Malaya, one of the largest incubation spaces in Malaysia. It was an excellent experience to learn about the startup culture and support available in the region. Day 4 – Visiting Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) We visited Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), where we learned about the support and resources provided by MDEC to accelerate the digital revolution and digital economy in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. This visit was a crucial step for our future business extension in the region. The 4-day event was a fantastic opportunity for us to expand our network and learn about the business environment in Southeast Asia. We’re excited about the future and the opportunities ahead, and we’re grateful to the CityU HK Tech 300 team for making this event possible. EdUHK EASE Fund Kick-off Ceremony 2022 NerOcean Limited is thrilled to have participated as one of the 14 start-up teams in “The EdUHK EASE Fund Kick-off Ceremony 2022” on 10th Dec 2022. We were honored to have our CEO, Dr. Ron NG, CTO, Dr. Sam CHENG, and Chief Scientist, Dr. Ivy HO, as well as our Advisors, Prof. Rudolf WU and Dr. LEUNG, in attendance. During the event, we had the opportunity to meet our Mentor, Mr. Tony CHENG, who is the Head of Commercial at Merck Pharmaceutical (HK) Ltd. His insights and experience in the commercial sector are invaluable to us, and we look forward to working with him to grow our business. As part of our participation in the event, NerOcean was given a booth to present our idea. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the EdUHK EASE Fund management team for the booth design and arrangement. We also had the privilege of meeting President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-Leung, Vice President Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-Hin, and Director of Knowledge Transfer Professor Stephen Chow Cheuk-Fai.

HKTDC Entrepreneurship Day 2022 We were excited to participate in HKTDC Entrepreneurship Day 2022 with the support of CityU HK Tech 300. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase our innovative sensor technology for sustainable water quality monitoring and management. Our CEO, Dr. Ron NG Chi On, and Chief Scientist, Dr. Ivy HO Pui Yu, represented our team at the event and engaged with potential partners and investors, sharing the potential impact of our technology on the aquaculture industry and natural water resources. The event provided a platform for startups like us to showcase our innovative ideas and connect with potential partners and investors. We connected with other startups, investors, and industry professionals, exchanging ideas and learning from other innovators. We also attended seminars and workshops on various topics related to entrepreneurship and innovation, gaining valuable insights and knowledge. We are committed to developing innovative solutions for sustainable water quality monitoring and management, and we believe that our technology has the potential to make a significantimpact on the aquaculture industry and contribute to the protection and preservation of natural water resources. EdUHK Mini Exhibition NerOcean was honored to be invited to the EdUHK Mini-Exhibition to showcase our invention. Our team, including CEO Dr. Ron NG Chi On and Chief Scientist Dr. Ivy HO Pui Yu, attended the exhibition, along with our advisors Prof. Rudolf WU Shiu Sun and Dr. Vincent KO Chi Chiu. The exhibition featured three representative EdUHK startup teams, including NerOcean. During the exhibition, we had the opportunity to introduce our innovative sensor technology for sustainable water quality monitoring and management to Mr. Sunny Lo, Chairman of Cafe de Coral Group. We had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Sunny Lo and received positive feedback from him. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the EdUHK Mini-Exhibition and showcase our invention. The event brought together ten start-up companies to compete for the “My Favourite Start-up” award, providing a platform for young entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative business ideas and compete for seed funding, mentorship, and other support. NerOcean conducted the 1st Field Test with AFCD NerOcean Limited is proud to announce the successful completion of the first field test of our innovative sensor technology for sustainable water quality monitoring and management. The test was conducted on the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department’s (AFCD) water quality monitoring site located at Ma Nam Wat aquaculture zone. This field test marks a significant step forward in our mission to develop innovative solutions for sustainable water quality monitoring and management. The data collected by the sensor will be used to monitor water quality, detect any potential issues, and inform decision-making processes to protect and preserve Hong Kong’s natural resources. During the field test, AFCD’s staff demonstrated their expertise in water quality monitoring and management by cleaning their water quality probe and explaining their work to our team. We were impressed by their professionalism and their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of water quality for the aquaculture industry. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the AFCD and contribute to the protection and preservation of Hong Kong’s natural resources. NerOcean Limited wins Silver Medal at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva We are thrilled to announce that NerOcean Limited has won a Silver Medal at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland. This prestigious event showcases innovations and inventions from all over the world, and we are honored to have been recognized for our work in developing cost-effective solutions for water quality monitoring and management. Our winning project, “A new generation of dissolved oxygen sensor using replaceable photo-sensing film,” is a novel device that detects and keeps a permanent record of the dissolved oxygen (DO) level in a medium using replaceable photo-sensing film. This device is unaffected by biofouling, providing a cost-effective method of DO monitoring over large water bodies.
