20240611 Artificial Mussels in Service - Collaboration with EPD
We, NerOcean Limited (NerOcean), are thrilled to announce our collaboration with the Environmental Protection Department (EPD), HKSAR, for our groundbreaking invention, Artificial Mussels! As the CEO of NerOcean, I am excited to share this news with you all.
From March 26, 2024, to June 11, 2024, we undertook a significant initiative deploying our innovative Artificial Mussels at the monitoring site in Tsuen Wan, overseen by the EPD.
During this period, we had three field trips in partnership with the EPD on March 26, 2024, May 3, 2024, and June 11, 2024.
Artificial Mussels, our smart, low-cost, and passive monitoring device, boast the remarkable capability to detect heavy metals and radionuclides. This revolutionary technology can be utilized in various water environments, including freshwater, seawater, and wastewater.
Through our collaboration with the EPD, we initiated a monitoring program in Hong Kong, aiming to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. By monitoring the levels of heavy metals and radionuclides in Hong Kong seawater, we are taking proactive measures to safeguard public health and protect our precious marine ecosystems.
This collaborative effort signifies a significant step forward in environmental conservation as we work towards creating a sustainable future for generations to come. We are immensely grateful for the support and trust placed in us by the EPD. Together, we are making a real difference.
