20240326 Introducing Artificial Mussels: Safeguarding Hong Kong’s Seawater We, NerOcean, are extremely proud to announce our collaboration with the Environmental Protection Department (EPD), HKSAR, for our groundbreaking invention, Artificial Mussels! On 26th March 2024, we embarked on a significant milestone as we deployed our innovative Artificial Mussels at the monitoring site in Tsuen Wan, monitored by the EPD. Artificial Mussels, our smart, low-cost, and passive monitoring device, has the remarkable capability to detect heavy metals and radionuclides. This revolutionary technology can be utilized in various water environments, including fresh water, seawater, and waste water. Through our collaboration with the EPD, we have initiated a monitoring program in Hong Kong, aiming to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. By monitoring the levels of heavy metals and radionuclides in Hong Kong seawater, we are taking proactive measures to safeguard public health and protect our precious marine ecosystems. This collaborative effort marks a significant step forward in environmental conservation, as we strive to create a sustainable future for generations to come. We are immensely grateful for the support and trust placed in us by the EPD. Together, we are making a real difference.
